Xiaomi has not given any indication yet about the prices of its Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro handsets. Xiaomi recently promised that it will soon bring a handset with Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor to market. Looking at the status of Snapdragon 720G in Qualcomm's portfolio, it seems that it will be part of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. If this happens, the Redmi Note 9 Pro handset will come with ISRO's 'Navigator' navigation system. As far as Redmi Note 9 is concerned, it is not clear whether the company is going to rely on MediaTek processors or Qualcomm.
Both the handsets of the Redmi Note 8 series came with a quad rear setup. There is every possibility that both variants of the Redmi Note 9 Pro come with a quad rear camera setup. However, the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro have a vertical camera setup. While Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro may have a square camera module. The live microsite on Amazon India indicates that Xiaomi has taken inspiration from the Huawei Mate 20 Pro for the design of its latest series.
Manu Kumar Jain of Xiaomi India has said that the Redmi Note 9 Pro will come with an upgraded camera. Redmi Note 7 Pro was brought to the market with a 48 megapixel camera. After this Redmi Note 8 Pro had a 64 megapixel sensor. It seems that Xiaomi will give a 109-megapixel camera in its Redmi Note 9 Pro handset. Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor is likely to be given here.
Similar microsites have been made live on the website of Mi.com and Amazon India. Points of select features of the Redmi Note series have been received from here.
