Diwali,this is also known as deepawali/deepavali.Deepavali stands for 'deep' means a flame in diya{a pot made up of siol by pot maker and 'avali' means festival.So it mean festival of light or flame is known as dewali.According to hindu calender this festival is three to fave day long. This is the fest of hinduism but nowadays this is celebrated by jains,sikh and some budhist also in India.This is a most famous holidays in India.One of the most famous festival in India,Diwali is also known for 'VICTORY OF LIGHT OVER DARKNESS'.
During the celebration all homes,temples,shops and office buildings are well decorated by lights as well as diya and many type of candles. On this day all womens,mens,and childrens pray to lordess MAA LAXMI for better financial condition or say for money enlargement.On the day pf celebration all cities,villages and town looks or shine like an diamond crystal in night.The preparation of the fest last for five days and the climax occuring on the third day coinciding of darkest night of Hindi lunisolar month 'KARTIKA'.
Most of the girls make RANGOOLI'S in thier homes with the help of different colors,and in another hand boys celebrate this or express thier happiness by using various type of fire crackers.On the celebration day womens and young girls make various type of dishes with the help of each other. The dishes are like;-thepla,samosa,pakode,gaja etc.
The festival does not have a fixed date. It varies every year according to automn season.Only pandit can tell the correct date and time of this festival.
